Today, March 23, Greg Mortenson will receive Pakistan’s highest civilian award, the Sitara-e-Pakistan (Star of Pakistan) for his work on education, especially for girls, in Pakistan’s northern areas.
His book, Three Cups of Tea, is a must read for anyone interested in the area.
